Sauro Melchiorri grew up surrounded by creativity and the art of bespoke craftsmanship, a world that would later define his life’s work. In his twenties, he began designing and building custom kitchens and fireplaces across Italy alongside his father, developing a deep appreciation for the unique character of each material and the individuality of every project. After his father’s passing at the age of 27, Sauro found new purpose in creating tailor-made furniture, a passion that steadily evolved into an international design practice.
Today, Melchiorri Bespoke Furniture is rooted in that personal journey; combining artistic expression, technical skill, and a commitment to true Made in Italy values. Each piece is handcrafted exclusively in Italy using the finest Italian marble and materials, brought to life by master artisans.
Sauro’s work is driven by emotion, imagination, and a dedication to preserving the spirit of craftsmanship for future generations, with the hope of one day passing this legacy on to his daughter, Alessandra.
