Frescoes, site-specific artworks & églomisé glass - merging tradition with contemporary expression
Walls & Ceilings

Solène Eloy works directly onto walls and ceilings using hand-applied decorative techniques rooted in traditional craftsmanship, including fresco-inspired finishes, textured plasters, pigments, and gold or metal leaf. Each surface is built up in layers, allowing depth, variation, and light to emerge naturally through the material. Gradients, patinas, and hand-painted motifs are developed in response to the architecture, creating bespoke compositions that feel both contemporary and timeless, and that transform structural elements into immersive, tactile works of art.
Plaster - Coating

Solène Eloy’s bespoke plaster coatings are created using mineral-based plasters that are applied and shaped entirely by hand. Through a controlled layering process, the surface is worked, eroded, and polished to reveal subtle movement, depth, and natural irregularities. Pigments, patinas, and occasional metallic accents are integrated directly into the material, allowing the finish to evolve with light and time. Each plaster coating is developed specifically for its architectural context, resulting in surfaces that are tactile, durable, and quietly expressive.
Canvas application
In addition to onsite application, Solène has created a special technique that does allow some plaster coating to be applied in canvas form that operates similar to a wallpaper.
Eglomise glass

Églomisé glass is crafted using a traditional reverse-gilding technique, with metal leaf, pigments, and patinas applied to the back of the glass by hand. Built up in successive layers, the surface is worked to create depth, controlled transparency, and subtle tonal variation. Once sealed, the finish reveals a luminous, reflective quality that evolves with light and movement. Each bespoke panel is developed in response to its architectural setting, bringing a refined sense of materiality to walls, joinery, and interior details.
Table Tops & Works

Table tops and works explore the same material language on a more intimate scale, translating wall-based techniques into functional and sculptural pieces. Surfaces are developed through hand-applied finishes, layered pigments, textured grounds, and occasional gilding, creating depth and subtle variation. Whether conceived as bespoke table tops, panels, or standalone artworks, each piece is unique, responding to its intended use and environment while preserving a strong sense of craftsmanship, materiality, and artistic expression.
