This sculptural coffee table is composed of two interlocking elements in bisqued red grogged earthenware, their faceted forms revealing hand-gilded recesses in 23-carat gold leaf. The contrast between the raw, earthy ceramic and the warm luminosity of the gold creates a powerful sense of depth and material richness. The earthenware is protected with a specialised invisible impregnation treatment to preserve its matte surface.
A painted wooden base supports the structure, while a circular tempered glass top offers a transparent, floating surface that highlights the sculptural base beneath. Both functional and expressive, the piece stands as a striking architectural object that blends craftsmanship, symbolism, and contemporary design.
