Bespoke wine cellars
Maison Borio

The art of preserving wine, beautifully.
Maison Borio’s bespoke cellar service offers dedicated design, development, and craftsmanship for architects, interior designers, collectors, and private clients seeking one-of-a-kind, tailor-made wine cellars that unite function with refined elegance.

From Concept to Creation
At Maison Borio, bespoke wine cellars and tasting spaces are conceived as fully integrated environments, combining technical precision with architectural sensitivity. Each project is developed in close collaboration with the client, their design team, or entirely by Maison Borio, depending on the needs of the scheme. Whether the cellar is to become a discreet feature or a central design statement, it is thoughtfully tailored to suit the space, the collection, and the overall interior vision.
From storage and preservation to presentation and tasting, every detail is carefully considered to create a space that is both functional and beautifully made.

Architectural, Immersive, Made to Measure
Maison Borio designs and creates fully bespoke wine cellar rooms, tailored to your collection, space, and way of life. Each project is approached with the precision of fine furniture making and the vision of interior architecture, resulting in immersive spaces that are both functional and refined.
One Team, End-to-End
Maison Borio offers a complete, in-house service covering concept, technical design, wine consultation, fabrication, delivery, and installation.
Rather than working with multiple trades, you collaborate with one dedicated team who manages every detail from the first sketch to the final fitting. This ensures cohesion, clarity, and exceptional quality throughout and importantly post project completion with single ownership and guarantee.

No only beautiful but created with a deep understanding of wine
A deep understanding of wine which is at the core of every project Maison Borio do. With the founder, Jean de Driésen, coming from a winemaking family, the team brings not only technical expertise but also a lived appreciation for how wine is stored, served and experienced.
Whether designing for long-term ageing, everyday enjoyment or service-led environments, each cellar is tailored to the specific needs of the collection. While the results are visually striking, function always leads, ensuring the space performs flawlessly while reflecting the elegance of its surroundings.
"By making our cellars in France, we can guarantee you top-quality craftsmanship. We are also helping to preserve and promote these crafts, a mission that is particularly close to our hearts."

Designed around the collection
Presenting and preserving
Each cellar is developed in direct conversation with the client or their wine advisor. We study the nature of the collection—its volume, varieties, regions, and preservation needs—so the design serves the wine as much as the space. Every aspect, from racking and layout to climate control and lighting, is built around the wines themselves.

Crafted as part of the design & architecture
Collaboratively created as part of your design, or designed just for you
Every cellar is conceived as an integral part of the overall interior scheme. Clients simply share their requirements, floor plans, and spatial constraints, and Maison Borio takes care of the rest. Materials, finishes, and design elements are thoughtfully selected to harmonise with their environment, ensuring the cellar enhances both the function and aesthetic of the room.
